Fodder
Feeding is the biggest challenge for farmers, therefore our solution is to pride fodder & feeds all year round.
Research has shown that fodder sprouts digest very quickly. As a result, hays that are high in fiber and slow to digest compliment the sprouts, by slowing down the digestion cattle can retain more of the beneficial nutrients and enzymes in the sprouts. This means that grain hays and grass hays will actually work better in a fodder diet than alfalfa.
Our fodder is fed to animals, either as a green feed or as hay, i.e. crops harvested dry or dried after harvesting. Drip irrigation is used to ensure the plants always have water. These smart farming methods guarantee our farmers that feed will always be available. EDL is therefore able to buy milk at consistent prices and sells at competitive prices even during the low seasons.
